It hasn’t been long since we reviewed a game, but the industry is filled with so many great apps to make gamers happy and we couldn’t resist telling you about this new one. Icy Joe is it’s name and has managed to keep me busy all day already.
Like I said earlier, Icy Joe is one of the newest games in the Google Play marketplace, yet it seems to be one of the hottest releases of this year. If you are familiar with Doodle Jump, then you will have no trouble understanding the principles behind Icy Joe. Still, unlike Doodle Jump, Icy Joe really manages to be a serious challenge for all kind of gamers, from beginners to advanced ones. In fact, the idea behind Icy Joe started along with author’s desire to create a remake of the old school 8 bit game Ice Clamber available for console, but with a better graphic engine and a whole lot more fun adventures.
Even if you are a puzzle games lover or a serious action gamer, Icy Joe will manage to give you a challenging fun and addictive session that can be measured in over 50 awesome levels or in an unlimited mode. Icy Joe is actually the story of a young inuit trying to escape of a dangerous and frozen land filled with lots of unexpected creatures accompanied only by his hammer and the great desire to escape and get to safety.
The element of surprise will not be missed while playing this game because even from the start, you have no knowledge on how you got down in the frozen glacier and with accomplishing mission, you get to reveal more about yourself and what happened before starting this “cool” journey.
Of course, in order to keep you motivated along the road, Icy Joe offers you all kind of bonuses, new items or even special powers to help you defeat the enemy in a much more effective manner.
Slicing glaciers, killing all kind of ferocious beasts and collecting items on the go are some of the top priorities for Joe, but among these, he has to keep an eye out for every layer that he passes because even these can become fatal for our wrecked guy. If action and surprise are highly promoted, it doesn’t mean that strategy doesn’t have something important to say too.
With every passing level, Joe gets more powerful and the strategy becomes even more important because he has to figure out how to use the available elements to escape from the pit.
