We already got used to Kickstarter to be one of the main sources for tech related utilities and also a great place where to find help to promote your newly started project. The community is quite active and with all the great projects is kind of hard not to give a hand to all of these talented, hard working and innovative persons.
In fact, these are 3 great adjectives to describe the project I’m going to talk about in this post. 3 Inch Apes is the name given to one of the most ambitious projects I encountered on Kickstarter, and believe me I’ve seen lots of them. As you probably have already figured out we are talking about an app project which was created to entertain, challenge your intelect and at the same time fulfill the need for very competitive people.
3 Inch Apes is a highly addictive game which mainly consist in developing skills for throwing bananas to the opponent and managing to create a genuine feel for the battlefield game. One thing I like most is the graphics of the game which are simply astonishing, and what’s even greater is the motion engine which makes 3 Inch Apes one of my favorite games for iOS devices.
What Makes 3 Inch Apes so Great?
Besides the fact that 3 Inch Apes has one of the smoothest graphics I’ve ever seen in a mobile game, it has a young, strong and dedicated team of developers including Michael Gill and Cole Randall, two guys whom will stop at nothing when it comes to improving the game and creating a new trend in the mobile gaming community.
Both of them are owners of popular game development companies like “Otter Bytes Interactive” development studio and “KCDC Development“, companies worth millions of dollars and with great contributions to mobile industry. Michael is a very enthusiast 3D animator and software developer, active in the field for more then 7 years and Cole made his top priority to deliver amazing products in the industry for the last 5 years.
Among their most popular releases, we have Toaster Pop, Play TagIt, and Squad-33, all of them with highest ratings in the iTunes marketplace.
With that being said and the fact that they are backed up by loads of fans and promoters, I guess there’s no wonder that 3 Inch Apes will become a hit in no time.
In fact, what really draw my interest towards 3 Inch Apes is their dedication for improving the game. Not only their project is original and cool, but they also come with a different way of approaching the industry and that’s listening to users desire and reward every gamer with tons of gifts.
Inside The Game
The game is currently supported on iPhone and iPod Touch. It is a brilliant multi-player strategy game challenging even the most skilled ones, but at the same time keeping everyone in the loop by offering a very entertaining environment and a fun banana-slinging fight with your friends or picking the single mode and fight against computer.
3 Inch Apes is separated in 2 main parts
1. Claiming Land
This part is great for people who love the classic strategy game “Battleship”. Once you start playing 3 Inch Apes, your opponent’s territory is hidden and while fighting (throwing bananas and other fruits at each other), you also reveal more of your opponent layout and increase influence.
2. Going for Gold
This is the fun part in which you collect items on the go including points, coins and some other cool rewards. All of them will help you improve your arsenal and you can buy tools to give you a boost in the battles to come.
Another great thing is that you can even choose to play in realtime or based on an extended period of time which personally I consider to be amazingly useful.
