Ever wanted to throw cute little monsters into a piece of cake or make them blow up bombs or TNT? Well Yumby Toss is the game you have waiting for and the game that Angry Birds has been afraid of.
You take control of a range of ‘Yumbies’, each with their own special talent, for instance, Tork can bust down walls and Loon can bounce like a ball. In total there are six Yumbies you can use through out the game, each one just as exciting and fun to play with.
With the challenge being you have to toss Yumbies into whatever environment you face, trying to collect as many points as possible through whatever means, if you collect enough points you can move onto the next map and eventually the next world.
These maps are Gobbler forts, and these are things you have to take over, by destroying their defences, eating their cake and rescuing other Yumbies that have been caged and imprisoned.
In total there are 45 levels across 5 completely different worlds, with each level bringing a new challenge and a new degree of difficulty. This makes the game super fun, as you constantly have to work out new ways of using your Yumbies in the best way possible.
Since the game goes from easiest to hardest in terms of levels, the learning curve isn’t too steep and you become better as the levels get harder. This means you don’t have to be a massive gamer to enjoy Yumby Toss, you can start enjoying it from the get go.
The actual levels are totally interactive too, you are not just throwing the Yumbies into static obstacles like crates and so forth. There are explosive bombs and barrels of TNT that wreak havoc on their surroundings.
There are also things like fans that will blow your Yumby all around the map, meaning they can either aid you in hitting hard-to-get-to obstacles or they can blow you off course, either way they add a fun and exciting dimension to the game.
Overall, Yumby Toss is a truly fun game and proof that you don’t have to kill zombies or have machine guns to make a great game. This is a real throw back to cartoony style arcade games that were once so popular.
It’s something the whole family can get involved in without anyone feeling left out or bored, it’s that sort of family friendly game that will bring people of all ages together.
